In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) with Egg Donation
IVF with egg donation is an assisted reproduction method that uses the oocytes (eggs) of young, healthy donors and the sperm of the intended parents or a sperm donor. Egg donation is a frequent practice, as a large percentage of infertility cases are due to advanced maternal age in women. IVF with egg donation perhaps provides the highest success rates, as donors are young and have healthy reproductive systems.
The most common indications for egg donation are:
- Early menopause;
- Contraindications to IVF stimulation or unsuccessful previous attempts;
- Ovarian absence;
- Various developmental disabilities;
- Ovarian pathology;
- The risk of transmitting genetic diseases through inheritance.;
- Single men or same-sex male couples.
Within our fertility group, the program involves the use of eggs exclusively from an anonymous donor.
